Chalet Melusine in LAlpe dHuez

The Chalet Odalys Melusine is a luxury mountain accommodation, situated below the ski slopes of Alpe d'Huez. The altitude is 1,860 metres. This resort enjoys on average 300 days of fabulous sunshine each year, so is a great spot for catching some winter, or summer, sun. There are wonderful views from the towering peak of Pic Blanc, indeed, it is said that one can see a fifth of France from the summit! As well as downhill skiing and snowboarding opportunities, there are numerous cross country skiing trails, as well as other winter activities, in the nearby area. Guests can try their hand at some fun and exciting night sledding. Within a minute, visitors can be in the lively city centre, with its array of great restaurants, vibrant bars and variety of shops. In the summer, this place is a paradise for climbers. There is an exhilarating via ferrata, as well as paragliding for those adrenaline junkies out there. In the sports centre one can enjoy a brisk game of squash, as well as other indoor sports. There is cardio equipment and weights, as well as a year round swimming pool. This mountain lodge offers comfort and convenience, but also retain a charming traditional feel. Wooden interiors with a stone feature fireplace add to the cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Guests need not worry about a lack of modern amenities, however - there is a TV, DVD player and hi-fi system. The chalet can comfortably sleep up to 12 people. There are six bedrooms, three of which have two single beds, and three that have double beds. Several bathrooms and toilets keep everyone happy. There is also a dining room and a kitchen. The well equipped kitchen contains everything one may need for an enjoyable and convenient self catering stay; there is a ceramic hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all utensils. Within the chalet guests will find a heated ski storage room. A private sauna and jacuzzi are the ideal way to relax and unwind after a busy day of activities.
