The Smugglers Rest

Built in the 1800s, the Smugglers Rest nestles in the quaint coastal village of Mortehoe, just a short walk from one of Europe's best beaches. Having welcomed visitors for over 100 years, this historic building is currently being renovated by new owners Stacey and Will, transforming the old bar into Miss Fea's Cafe, due to open mid June 2016. The BnB is open from the 27th May 2016 The Smugglers Rest offers 8 spacious en suite rooms, boasting stunning countryside views, and will eventually host evening dining events and live music. Whether you fancy soaking up the summer sun in the lovely sheltered garden, or snuggling next to the cosy wood burning stove with a steaming mug of hot chocolate, The Smugglers Rest BnB and Miss Fea's Cafe offers a friendly welcome all year round. The menu of delicious snacks, generously filled sandwiches and light bites will be fresh and seasonal, incorporating locally sourced produce to offer a taste of the very best that Devon has to offer. Our freshly ground coffees, teas and tasty fruit juices and smoothies are perfectly accompanied by chef Stacey's mouthwatering cakes and sweet treats. We will also serve a selection of quality wines, spirits and local and craft beers. Stacey and Will are proud to usher the Smugglers Rest into the future, and look forward to welcoming you soon.
