In a landscape of rare beauty, situated at the top of a Cliff once, lapped by the waves of the sea, lies "Le Clarisse" palace. The building was former a monastery for nuns built in 1620 which now conserves important works of art including an Arabic funerle stele from 11th century and a wooden statue from 17th depicting S. Chiara. The architectural structure of the building follows the profile of the rocky spur on which the bulk of the church, the old convent and cloister rests, with an expansive panoramic view of the coastline. Thanks to the dedicated and laborious restoration, the building today, known as Palazzo delle Clarisse, has regained its old convent atmosphere.
