Ansiturismo Alojamento & Spa is located in the center of historical town of Ancião. This new property will open with 9 double first floor bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms, some with balconies and all are accessible with a lift. All rooms have hot and cold air conditioning and have mini refrigerators. Every room offers a flat screen TV with a variety of satellite channels. All guests have access to a onsite mini-gym and the indoor pool. The property also has a sun terrace perfect for relaxing with a sun downer. The onsite bar/restaurant serves a daily inclusive continental breakfast and light snacks and drinks are also available throughout the day. Both the WiFi and limited onsite parking are available free of charge to all guests. The Spa & Wellness center offers guests a heated pool, Jacuzzi, treatment rooms and a relaxation area. All health and beauty treatments can be booked directly onsite. About Ansião, the town is a market town nestled behind the Serra da Alvaiázere between the coastline and the interior of Central Portugal and is the gateway to Central Portugal sights and attractions. The area is rich in cultural and natural heritage traces and a local tourism office is located in the town center. The area is covered by beautiful natural landscapes with typical villages, wind mills,panoramic views, roman ruins, monuments, river beaches etc. During your visit delight your taste with local delicacies. The gastronomic highlight of the region is Rabaçal Cheese made of sheep and goat milk, ideal as a starter or even as a dessert. Taste Rabaçal cheese accompanied with Terras de Sicó wine while you wait patiently for a generous portion of roasted lamb or cacholada (a stew made of pig lungs, liver, blood and fat). Nearby is the historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, founded by the Templars is only 40 to 45 minutes drive. Figueira da Foz the beautiful coastal beach is easily accessed in approximately 50 to 55 minutes by car via the IC8. The city of Coimbra the 3rd biggest city in Portugal is only 50 minutes drive on the A13 motorway. Porto and Lisbon airports are at similar distance from the property, Porto is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes drive and Lisbon approximately two hours by car. Shuttle services from and to both main airports are available on request.
