Maninghi Lodge

Maninghi Main Lodge (Place of Plenty) and the Self-Catering Cottage are situated in the Parsons Section (Northern) of Balule Game Reserve, which is open to the Kruger National Park (Greater Kruger Region). The Lodge and Cottage, being on the banks, boast extraordinary views of the Olifants River and on a clear day - the Blyde River Canyon as well. Being open to the Kruger National Park allows for all sorts of wildlife to roam freely between the Reserves, including the 'Big5', cheetah and wilddog. It is possible to 'game view' right from the comfort of the lodge grounds! Bird life is also fantastic, and makes for a great opportunity to tick off a few new species which my be seen! Maninghi Main Lodge consists of 5 bedrooms - 3 en-suite and 1 open loft area (Sleeping 10 guests), making it ideal for couples, families and larger groups alike. The rooms are en-suite, fully furnished with comfortably appointed linen, towels and amenities. The 'common areas' include a relaxing lounge with a tea and coffee station, honesty bar and dining room, lapa, swimming pool and restricted access to the gardens with seating areas to enjoy the river views and wildlife. There is a viewing Deck which is enjoyed by many, over looking the gardens and river & facing our 2 beautiful Sycamore Fig Trees! WiFi is available at no cost and is accessible throughout the property. The Self-Catering Cottage consists of 3 units, sleeping 6 adults and 2 children. The main unit consist of 1 en-suite bedroom, 1 single bed sun room, lounge and fully equipped kitchen. The other 2 units are double en-suite. All units are fully furnished with comfortably appointed linen, towels, amenities, honesty bar (please request to be stocked) and a Tea/Coffee Station. There is plenty of seating area around the gardens, including a 5m high platform - perfect for that first cup of coffee in the morning, or a G&T while the sun sets! A boma area is also available. There is no WiFi at this property. Meals may be catered for on request, and will be served at the Main Lodge. We do offer Morning and Late Afternoon Game Drives and Guided Game Walks within our 'Big5' Reserve - please note that there is no self-driving or night driving allowed within Parsons. There are also plenty of local attractions in the area, which you may self-drive to; or you can opt in for us to guide you for the day - please see our Activities Tab for what's on offer!
