Goldener Ochs

The traditional, family-run Hotel Goldener Ochs offers a central location in the spa town of Bad Ischl, a large spa area, and free WiFi access. Some of the spacious rooms offer romantic views of the Traun River. Opened in 1791, the Goldener Ochs has hosted many famous personalities, including the composer Franz Léhar, who used to dine in the hotel restaurant “Léhar-Stuben”, which is famous for its classic cuisine. The spa area is flooded with light features classic and Ayurveda massages (at an additional cost), Kneipp baths, infrared seats, two saunas and a fitness studio, as well as Austria’s only salt graduator and a relaxation room with mountain views. The family-run Hotel located at the river Traun in the city center blends tradition with individual, modern design and a contemporary holiday experience.
