Description of the accommodation
Welcome to Bearslake Inn, We are a traditional thatched pub serving great, locally sourced food and offering quality accommodation in the stunning Dartmoor National Park. Situated in the hamlet of Lake in the picturesque North West corner of Dartmoor our chef’s specialise in local produce and lucky for us the West Country is blessed with wonderful supplies of meat, fish, vegetables as well as a host of small artisan producers of cheese, ice cream and smoked products. Where and whenever possible we always try to source these direct from the farmer, fisherman or grower. Our shopping criteria is simple; best quality and locally produced. Located between the small market towns of Tavistock and Okehampton on the A386, Bearslake Inn is an ideal base from which to explore the delights of the local Moors and Tor’s of the Nation Park. We have six spacious en-suite letting rooms (three of which are dog friendly) and plenty of parking. Just two miles south of the A30 and the border between Devon and Cornwall, it is easy to reach and yet is set amidst the glorious remote walking country. The magnificent Sourton Tor, Corn Ridge and Great Links Tor are all just a walk away with the Granite Way cycle path running directly behind the pub. Owners, Julian and Lisa have lived in the area for 10 years and took over the Bearslake Inn in March 2018. They are delighted to have the opportunity to build on Bearslake Inn’s reputation and they both look forward to welcoming you to their charming pub.
