The Dovecote Inn

We are a traditional country inn, with an award winning restaurant serving locally sourced produce and a welcoming traditional bar serving a range of cask ales, craft lagers and a superb selection of hand picked wines. Set in beautiful grounds, we are close to Sherwood Forest home of Robin Hood. The Dovecote Inn is located in the historic medieval village of Laxton, just off the A1 in North Nottinghamshire. We form part of the "Crown Estate", owned wholly by the royal family. We have 3 beautiful letting bedrooms, located in a separate barn conversion annex. Two rooms are king size with newly refurbished luxury en-suites, and the third is our brand new super king sized suite "The Sherwood Suite", located over 2 floors. The Sherwood Suite has 2 bathrooms, one with a walk in rain forest shower and large free standing double ended bath tub. All rooms provide well stocked continental breakfast facilities within the rooms included in the room price.
