The Sandrock

On the Western Costal footpaths, The Sandrock is ideally situated to take advantage of Watersmeet, Woody Bay and the Brendon Valley, said to be the inspiration for the location of Doon Valley. For those who are Railway enthusiasts there is the Woody Bay Steam Railway only 4 miles away and equestrians can take advantage of the local riding schools to hire out a steed or to take tuition as a novice and experience the grandeur of the moor on horseback. Anglers may test their metal with all aspects of fishing available, ranging from course through game to every type of sea-fishing, in or within 20 miles of Lynton / Lynmouth.
