The Steele Mansion Inn & Gathering Hub, originally completed in 1867 as a private home for George Worthington Steele, is a luxurious renovation opened to guests in June, 2015! The Mansion was described as the "Jewel of Painesville" Frequent visitors included Presidents Jame A. Garfield, Rutherford B. Hayes & Ulysses S. Grant. Amelia Earhart was a guest when she lectured the women's aeronautic club, three months before her disappearance, at Lake Erie College located directly across the street. The Steele Mansion Inn has been reconstructed with 16 luxurious guest rooms & suites, each with a unique historical theme and private luxury bathroom. Several rooms feature Jason Microsilk tubs.
